Custom Tools The Pro Bagger performs a magic trick that instantly turns the little tiny pack on your belt loop to a bagstick that is big enough to catch small livestock or wayward children. Being a snake handler rather than an engineer, "magic trick" is a good enough explanation for me, but if you happen to be more technically inclined you can study the workings of the metal hinge you see in the picture. This device is ingeniously constructed so that all it takes is normal gravity and expansion space to engage the mechanism. When it's time to put the back back in the belt sheath, you will probably experience a moment of disorientation as you wonder how in the heck a bagstick that you and your herping buddies could almost throw a party in is going to go back into that teeny little space. The answer is that you pull back on the bell shaped tab. If the tab is on top and the bag is inverted, you have instant collapse. If the tab is on the bottom, you have to turn the stick over or push the arms up and inward. Now the fun part. Don't even think of rolling the bag around the stick for storage. That looks neat, but you won't be able to get the bag to open the next time you whip it out unless you unwind it first. |
