This Jameson's mamba (Dendroaspis jamesoni), along with a number of black and Eastern green mambas, has been badly abused. These snakes were subjected to crude defanging which left them with torn, swollen mouths and broken jaws. In most cases both fangs were actually still intact, though several animals were missing one fang and a single black mamba was missing both fangs.

Please help us rescue these snakes. We are working with a veterinary hospital to give these animals the best chance of recovery. Your donation in any amount will help us save more of these abused animals. Click here to learn more about the work your donations are supporting.

If you would like to "Adopt A Mamba" with a donation of any amount, you can keep updated with pictures and progress reports on your special patient. If you have a licensed facility that is used for education or research and you can offer a good permanent home to some of our rehabilitated animals, you can "adopt a mamba" for real. Email us for details, or just click below to make your donation.

Please consider signing the Venomoid Petition to help prevent this kind of animal cruelty to venomous snakes.
