Snake Pinning Tools

These pinning heads are made from standard plastic PVC pipe cut in half and padded with closed cell foam. A PVC pipe joint to which a standard broom handle can be screwed is also cut in half, drilled and bolted to the lower half in a way that leaves no protruding or sharp ends. A simple kitchen cutting board can make an excellent pinning tool that helps restrain more of a snake's body on a padded surface. The board itself can also be padded. For larger snakes you may wish to attach a longer handle or wear a heavy duty animal handling glove. |
