The membership of this list is restricted to women only. All women with a serious interest in reptiles are welcome, from beginner to advanced. Venomous keepers are especially encouraged.

List rules:
1. Please be courteous and professional in your conduct on the list. It's OK to have fun, make jokes and socialize, but do keep the fun on topic. Herp jokes are fine, lightbulb jokes (unless they involve snakes) are generally not. Differences of opinion and arguing different sides of an issue is acceptable, but foul language and personal insults are not.
2. Do not forward any non-reptile related virus warnings, political alerts, chain letters, advertisements, schemes or scams to the list. The vast majority of these are hoaxes and may be debunked at the Urban Legends site
3. Individuals selling or trading reptiles as a hobby may list their offerings, but please make only one such announcement per person per month on herpgrrls. Commercial businesses may not advertise on the list. A good place for reptile ads is kingsnake.com classifieds.
4. Do not send pictures or attachments to the list. They will not be delivered. Please send a picture URL instead. You can find free web space at Tripod or Fortunecity if you need to put up some pictures. If you turn off JavaScript before browsing those sites, those annoying popup advertising windows go away.
Thank you for joining your sisters at Herpgrrls, and please introduce yourself and your animals on the list when you feel comfortable joining in.
